The Teachinghistory.org page is full of great resources, including excellent lesson plans on all subjects.  A good place to begin with this page will be to follow this link to reviews of lesson plans. The reviews are all based on Historical Thinking Skills standards.

The Library of Congress page is a treasure trove.  It can  be difficult to navigate without some planning.   There are some excellent help videos on the LOC page, and it really is very profitable to use them.  Go to the following link  for a tour of how to find your way around the many layers of the site.

We are linking you to two excellent “Historical Thinking” websites.  The first is a Canadian site featuring the work of Peter Seixas and colleagues.  One of the great features to use from this site is the following  Organizer of six historical thinking concepts [HTC] that “are represented in a graphic that explores: aspects of each HTC, how students can demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of each HTC, and suggested student tasks for each.”
